Hey pals. I was interviewed as a featured member on BurdaStyle this
month! (Queue me blushing and looking down modestly.... for about 2
seconds before jumping up & down in Sally Fields-esque "You like me!
You really like me!" outburst).
It was a lovely
opportunity to think hard about how sewing has changed my life and what
being a part of this community has done for me (which is in essence,
everything). You can read the entire piece here.
Thank you to BurdaStyle for reaching out to me! I abstemiously adore
their site and was blown away and honored to be asked to contribute.
You know, I haven't been on Burdastyle in ages, but then this morning I decided to look and there you were! Very cool. I'll have to spend some more time over there (and post some of the 20 something projects I've completed since I last added anything)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info about the Featherweight too. I know it's nit-picky, but I'm holding out for a good one with case and accessories. They come up often enough, but I usually don't get to them on time. Some day though....
Well done! The interview was fantastic. Although I refuse to believe that your sewing room is THAT neat. Mine resembles your tornado costume.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on being featured! All of your garments are so well done and uniquely you, but that green and white stripe dress remains one of my favorite makes of yours.
ReplyDeleteOoh yay, congrats! You absolutely deserve a feature-- I love EVERYTHING you've ever made! :) Great job, girl!
ReplyDeleteUh, this is SO COOL! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteWe love you Heather Lou!!! Amazing interview, truly and utterly deserved! Still salivating over that chevron dress...xxx
ReplyDeleteWHOOO HOOOO!!!! You are so frickin FAMOUS! Congrats congrats congrats... you so very much deserve it!
ReplyDeleteWHOA! Just read the interview and A) You are so funny. How did you get so funny? and B) I GOT A SHOUTOUT!!!! WAAHOOO!! I'm, like, famous by proxy now. Blushing, giggle, blushing some more... and C) I really really love how real you are - have I ever told you that? I think my lady love/blogger crush heart just grew two sizes a la the Grinch...
ReplyDeleteHa ha! The love and crushing is mutual Salliekins.

ReplyDeleteThanks love!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! It was very exciting.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I'll ever make anything taht ever lives up to that magical white & green.... Thanks Cindy!
ReplyDeleteHopefully we won't end up in an anonymous bidding war when that special one shows up... I'm waiting for one with the case too.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Heather! I didn't read my Burda mail til today-- what a great surprise to see you there! Well earned :D
ReplyDeleteFantastic feature, Congratulations! I love all of your creations, especially that little print number. Seriously envious of your sewing studio too! Congrats again! Must get myself a rotary cutter...!
